LaVonne Mae Espeland was born on August 6, 1942 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Harley V. and Doris L. (Sandess) Norby. She grew up in Freeborn and graduated from high school there. On August 19, 1973, LaVonne was united in marriage to Marlyn Espeland. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing, crafting, and doing puzzles. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children Kimberly Clark of Brainerd, Karen (Lewis) Villarreal of Boling, TX, William K. Clark of Waite Park, MN, and Tony (Kerri) Espeland of Aitkin, MN; grandchildren Samuel Clark, Taci Villarreal, Rebecca Clark, Vincent Clark, Tony Villarreal, Michael Espeland, Mickija Haugen, Hunter Haugen, Naomi Steffes, and William âBJâ King; sisters Jeanette Fell of Waseca and Sandra Norby of Hartland; and her niece Annette OâBrien.
LaVonne was preceded in death by her husband Marlyn Espeland, her parents Harley and Doris Norby, her former husband William âBillâ Clark, and her daughter-in-law Gwen Clark, and brothers-in-law Dale Schlicht and Charlie Fell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society or the Hope House in Rochester in memory of LaVonne.
