LaVerna Elizabeth Lindeman was born on February 26, 1923 to Paul Ernest and Faye Maude (Martin) Kruger in Lake Park, Iowa. LaVerna graduated from Albert Lea High School 1940. On August 17, 1941, LaVerna was united in marriage to Elmer Lindeman in Albert Lea. Together they made their home in the Conger area. LaVerna was a member of Bear Lake Concordia Lutheran Church where she was a member of WELCA and the Ruth Circle. She was a Cub Scout leader and also a member of the Conger Auxiliary, Mothers Club and Senior Citizens in Conger. She enjoyed baking, cooking, quilting, playing cards, attending family athletic events and activities, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter Alvina âDollyâ (Jay) Dunbar; sons Robert (Loleen âDollyâ) Lindeman and Allen (Carla) Lindeman; grandchildren Tom (Susan) Dunbar, Kristi (William) Westover, Valerie (Michael) Blanton, Amanda (Tim) Korman, Joe (Randee) Lindeman and Marie (Kevin) Juveland; great-grandchildren Emily Zettle Dunbar, Jack and Katherine Westover, Ashley and John Blanton, Brayden and Sydnee Lindeman, Kylie and Nicholas Korman and Cole, Jordan and Wade Juveland; sister Lois(Paul) Aasen; sisters-in-law, Gloria Prestegard, Pearl Lindeman, Betty Lindeman, and Marilyn Kruger; and many nieces and nephews.
LaVerna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elmer; brothers, Earl (Gladys) Kruger, Erwin (Ruth) Kruger, Paul (Marion) Kruger, and Donald Kruger; sisters, Lorene (Harold) Wright and Bernice (Ernest) Braun; brothers-in-law, Vernon (Berdina) Lindeman, Emery Lindeman, Raymond (June) Lindeman, Harry Lindeman, Raymond Meyer and Marlowe Prestegard; sisters-in-law, Ruby (Art) Ludtke and Bernice Lindeman in infancy.
