LaRue Ilein Jones was born January 3, 1933, to Toye K. and Agatha Johnson Brua in Mansfield Township. She attended Emmons schools and lived most of her life in the Albert Lea area. On September 24, 1958, LaRue was married to Lloyd Jones in Mason City. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. LaRue loved playing bingo, Skip-O, playing cards, visiting with family and friends, and traveling to Oregon, Michigan, and Mason City. She was known as the "Jell-O Lady" and made the best Rice Krispie bars ever. LaRue always remembered every birthday with a card and missed her special friends at Channel View. She loved to laugh and tease back and forth with everyone. Survivors include her sister, Mary and husband, Ervin Miller of Portland, OR; nieces and nephews: Roger Dean Bev Brua, Richard Brua, Elaine Milan Hart, LeAnn Fynbo, Lynette Lane Westre, Barb Sorum, Marsha Davidson, JoAnn Steve Shannon, and Ross Debra Miller; and many loving great-nieces and nephews. LaRue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; brother, Marvin Brua, sister, Ardus Jergenson, and brother, Roger Dean Brua in infancy; niece, Virginia Behr; and nephews, Larry Brua and David Roberts.
