Larry A. Nordstrom

September 13, 1961 — July 5, 2007

Larry was born on September 13, 1961, to Rodney and Phyllis Johnson Nordstrom in Albert Lea, Minnesota. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1979 and lived in Freeborn County his entire life. Larry was an exceptionally hard worker and was blessed with many talents. During his adult life, Larry worked at Farmstead, Streaters, and more recently did carpentry work. He recently graduated as a nursing aide from Riverland Community College, but died before beginning to use his training. Larry was also very active in his church, Seventh Day Adventist Church, where he renewed his relationship with Christ in recent years. He was also very involved in the local AA club and spoke regularly at Fountain Centers. He and his family were very proud of his 18 years of sobriety. Larry was known in the area for his world-class juggling skills and often performed for community gatherings. He also loved walking around Fountain Lake. Among his many hobbies, Larry enjoyed collecting coins and Indian artifacts. Larry is survived by his mother, Phyllis Nordstrom of Albert Lea; siblings Jeffrey Nordstrom of Albert Lea; Linda Keith Bartos and their children Michael and Rachel of Delano, MN; Barb Joe Munster of Bloomington, MN; Lisa Neal Gjersvik and their children Harry, Lily and Noah of rural Albert Lea. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Rodney; his paternal grandparents Fred and Gladys Nordstrom; and his maternal grandparents John and Elida Johnson. Larry touched the lives of many people. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family. We are comforted by the strength of his faith and trust that he now walks with Christ.
