Kevin Edward Benesch was born on March 15, 1956 in Albert Lea, the son of Gordon and Phyllis (Smith) Benesch. He grew up in Albert Lea, was confirmed at the United Methodist Church, and graduated from ALHS in 1975. After high school Kevin attended the Albert Lea VoTec where he studied diesel mechanics. He worked as a diesel mechanic many years for the Ford garage and also in Alaska, Washington, and Colorado. For the last ten or so years, Kevin has lived and worked in North Las Vegas. He liked photography and was an excellent fisherman. He also liked spending time in the outdoors, enjoyed wildlife, especially feeding deer. Blessed be his memory.
Survivors include his son Jeff (Rachel) of Joice, IA; granddaughters Madison and Ava; parents Phyllis and Gordon Benesch of Albert Lea; brothers Kenneth (Linda) Benesch of Corpus Christi, TX and Keith (Darlene) Benesch of Albert Lea; sisters Janeen Benesch of Shakopee and Jolene (John) Berg of Northwood, IA; aunts Marian Martinson of Fontana, CA and Mildred Weinand of Richfield, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Kevin was preceded in death by his grandparents and three uncles.
