Kenneth Laurel Williamson was born on December 8, 1920 in Glenville, the son of Lose and Zelpha Herr Williamson. He was a lifelong resident of Glenville. On December 7, 1943 Kenny was united in marriage to Arlene Ewald in Glenville. Kenny served in the U. S. Army during WWII from 1943 - 1945. He served his tour of duty in Europe, and was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. Kenny received a Purple Heart for this. Kenny worked for the Freeborn County Highway Department for many years. He was a member of First Lutheran Church of Glenville. He was a member of the American Legion, The VFW, the DAV, the Eagles Lodge, the Albert Lea Senior Citizens Center, and the American Bowling Congress. Kenny was an avid bowler for forty years. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and golf. He and Arlene loved traveling and spent many happy times seeing the country. Survivors include his wife Arlene; his daughter Pam Ethen of Glenville; granddaughter Dawn and her husband Brad Scholz of St. Bonifacius, Minnesota; grandson Cory Bremer of Appleton, Minnesota; great-grandsons Michael and Gage Bremer and their mother, Krista Reineke of New Richland, and Benjamin Scholz of St. Bonifacius; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Lloyd Jorgenson of Albert Lea, Glen and Ellie Ewald of California, Bob and Laurie Berg of Austin, Maxine Henle of Arizona, Marilyn Grasdalen and Joanne Williamson both of Albert Lea, and Delores Williamson of Walters; and many nieces and nephews. Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, his son David, two grandchildren, his sister Margie Jorgenson, his brothers Harold, Bernard, and George Williamson, his sister-in-law Donna Williamson, his brothers-in-law Fremont Henle and Paul Grasdalen, and his nephew Gary Williamson.
