Kenneth LeRoy Larsen, born October 4, 1929, in Faribault, MN, passed away at his home on October 20, 2024 at the age of 95.
He was the son of James and Ellen Larsen. He attended Albert Lea High School and joined the US Army, serving from 1951 to 1953. After an honorable discharge, he went to work for Page & Hill building pre-fab houses. He also worked for various contractors building houses and worked for Albert Lea Transfer and Olson Mfg. doing sheet metal construction, carpenter work, welding, and machine lathe work.
He loved to hunt and fish and spent a few days each year deer hunting up North at his sister's place. He also liked working on cars and working with wood and craft work.
He married Kathryn Luecht on May 21, 1954. Three children were born to this marriage. He was later divorced.
On September 8, 1972 he married Esther (Clough) Hellie (who had one child) at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea.
Left to cherish his memory are: his wife Esther. Children: Clareene (Renee) Larsen (Mike Husnik), Rory (Bobbie) Larsen, and son-on-law Bob Emmett. Grandchildren: Keith (Kenita) Jensen, Collette (Michael) Ringhand, Jamie (Larry) Dahmen, Jeremy (Brooke) Larsen, Jennifer (James) Reaser, Megan (Matthew) Blake, Courtney Emmett, Brianna Emmet, and 22 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: James and Ellen Larsen. Daughters: Ranae Emmett, Kari Hellie. Grandson: Derek Emmett. Brothers: James Larsen, Howard Larsen, Alvin Larsen. Sisters: Leona Randall, Dorothy Schue, Helen Kreager, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at 2 pm at Our Father's House, HWY 69 South, Albert Lea, MN. The family will greet guests during visitation one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery for family and friends.
