Kenneth L. Benesh was born on Sept. 16, 1928 in Austin, MN., the son of Louis and Mabel Saman Benesh. He attended and graduated from Austin High School. He furthered his education at St. Olaf College and North Dakota State. Kenneth proudly served his country in the US Army. After his discharge he returned to Freeborn County where he was united in marriage to Doris Larson on June 23, 1957 in Hayward. Kenneth farmed all of his life in the Myrtle area and he and Doris owned and operated Ken's Place in Myrtle. He enjoyed raising cattle and going to cattle shows. Kenneth was known for supporting the youth in raising and showing cattle. He also enjoyed fishing. Kenneth was a member of Trondhjem Lutheran Church. Kenneth is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law; Daryl and wife Pat Larson, Erwin and wife Ruth Larson and Lucille and husband Bill Stephenson. 1 cousin, Roger Saman and numerous Benesh cousins, nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Doris. Kenneth was a devoted friend to many people who will also remember him.
