Karen Ann Jacobs was born September 28, 1956 to Myron and Doris Feldoff Linn in Eldora, Iowa. In grade school she moved with her family to Alden. Karen graduated from Alden-Conger High School in 1974. After high school she spent one year attending Vo-Tech in Austin where she graduated with a degree in graphic design and then one year attending Culinary School in Mankato. On July 30, 1977 she was united in marriage to Lee Jacobs at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She was employed for 34 years at Freeborn County Shopper as a graphic designer. Karen was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and was active in the church circle. She spent many years being active with 4-H as a leader. Karen enjoyed volleyball, softball, going to wrestling tournaments, cooking, gardening, camping, deer hunting, snowmobiling and spending her time outdoors. She especially enjoyed time spent with her family. Survivors include her husband, Lee; children, KaryJustin Reicherts and their children, Logan, Lexie and Linzy, and MattBobbie Jo Jacobs and their children Makenna, Carter and Devin; brothers, Mark Linn, Jeff Linn and DavidRhonda Linn; brother-in-law, Larry Jacobs; and many nieces and nephews. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Myron and Doris; twin sister, Sharon; a brother in infancy; in-laws, Elmer and Juline Jacobs; step-mother, Milly Linn; and many aunts and uncles.
