Julaine Gale Johnson
Private family services for Julaine Gale Johnson, age 64, of Hartland will be held at Our Fatherâs House. Elders Charles Johnsrud and Donald Larson will officiate. Interment will be at Trenton Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 â 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral.
Julaine died Monday, March 16, 2015 at her home.
Julaine Gale Johnson was born August 22, 1950 in the village of Taopi, the daughter of Harold and Norrine (Rockwell) Monson. Julaine grew up in rural LeRoy and graduated from Owatonna High School in 1968. She worked for several nursing homes in the area while continuing her education. She earned her RN degree and most recently worked as a registered nurse for Mapleton Community Home, she retired in December due to her health. On November 25, 1994 Julaine was united in marriage to James Johnson at Our Fatherâs House. She was a member at Our Fatherâs House where she enjoyed volunteering and was a member of the tambourine group for 17 years. Julaine enjoyed reading, traveling, bird watching, walking nature trails and spending time with her family and friends, especially listening to Jimâs many stories.
Survivors include her husband Jim; children Troy Stursa and Bridget Retallick; grandchildren Nora, Nathan and Naomi Retallick; brother Severt Monson; sister Amber (Mark) Cameron; many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Julaine was preceded in death by her parents.
