Josephine Harriet Jones

Josephine H. Jones was born on January 18, 1924 to Theodore and Jane Noble Helleck in Austin, MN. She grew up in rural Blooming Prairie and was a member of the Red Oak Grove Church. Josephine graduated from Blooming Prairie High School. After high school she attended Austin Jr. College. On June 22, 1946, she was united in marriage to Dale Jones in Seattle, Washington where they lived for two years. The couple then returned to the Albert Lea area where they made their home. Josephine was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with family. She and Dale enjoyed spending winters in Arizona after his retirement. Survivors include her children, Gail and her husband, Ron Rhea of Byhalia, MS, Carol and her husband Ernie Schultz of Alden, Jeff and his wife, Donna Jones of Chaska, Marge and her husband Bill Entorf of Albert Lea, Michael and his wife, Cindy Jones of Brownsdale and Steven and his wife, Carol Jones of Joliet, IL; son-in-law, Tom O'Byrne of Albert Lea; 16 grandchildren and step grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Roscoe and his wife, Rita Helleck of Sterling, Alaska, Arthur and his wife, Arlene Helleck of Blooming Prairie and Harold and his wife, Susan Helleck of Rochester; sister-in-law, Leona Jordahl of Owatonna; and brother-in-law, Lloyd Jones of Las Vegas, NV. Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; daughter, Janet O'Byrne; great-grandson, Makiao; and sister, Thelma Hendriks.
