Jon Mark Stoneback was born March 13, 1948 to Vance and Marian (Quam) Stoneback in Albert Lea. Jon graduated from Alden High School in 1966. After graduation he served his country in the United States Air Force for three years. He then graduated from Computer Technology School in Minneapolis, MN. Jon worked for Inforex Inc. in Milwaukee and Chicago, Digital Inc, Compaq and Hewlitt Packard in Massachusetts. Jon and his family spent most of their life in Milford, MA. For thirteen years he was devoted to AA and served as treasurer, spoke person and sponsored and helped many people. Jon was a member of the United Methodist Church in both Milford, MA and Alden, MN. He was also a Lifelong member of the American Legion. Jon enjoyed golf, bowling, basketball and tropical fish tanks. He also loved to relax on the beach, take fabulous pictures, his cats Whiskers and Kit Cat and coaching his boys in whatever sports they pursued. He was loyal to the Boston Celtics and thoroughly enjoyed a good cheeseball!! He could fix almost anything!!
Jon is survived by his mother Marian Stoneback of Alden, MN; three sons Jason and his wife Liza along with their children Marley and Noah of Hampton, CT, Joshua and his wife Eugenia and their children Hayden, Hunter and Holden of Twenty Nine Palms, CA, and Jeramy of South Lake Tahoe, CA; siblings Judi (Bob) Rasmussen of Monticello, MN, Steve (Mary) Stoneback of Alden, MN, Susie (Keith) Vandeer of Cody, WY, Marcia Kneeshaw of Minneapolis, MN, Amy (Cory) Winch of Alden, MN, aunt Beulah Luthe of Austin, MN, as well as many, many loved nieces, nephew, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vance Stoneback.
We do not have enough thank youâs for the excellent care the staff at St. Johnâs gave Jon over his almost 6 year stay with them. They were wonderful, caring people and he had real and true feelings for many of you! We would also like to thank Hospice for their warm and gentle care.
