Jennie J. Loverink was born on April 27, 1923 in Platte, South Dakota, the daughter of Harko and Jennie (Holleman) DeBoer. In March of 1938, Jennie moved to Hollandale with her family. On November 22, 1948 Jennie was united in marriage to Herbert Loverink at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a fabulous cook and baker and enjoyed crocheting. Jennie loved having people over to her home for coffee and continued this when she moved to Good Samaritan Society.
Survivors include her children Gordon (Deb) Loverink, Thomas (Vicki) Loverink, Julie (Dewey) Draayer, Gayle Loverink and Don Loverink; grandchildren Brett (Charlene), Matt (Rachel), Kurt (Heather), Joshua, Kimberly (Jarrod), Brandon, Ryan (Hollie), Jennifer, Travis, Abi (Matt) and Johanna; 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way; sisters Evelyn Christians and Viola Eekhoff; brother Paul (Kathy) DeBoer; sisters-in-law Gertie Richards Tina DeBoer and Alice DeBoer; brothers-in-law Gerrit Loverink and Harm (Lola) Loverink; and many nieces and nephews.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert, daughter Wendy, grandchildren Thomas, Timothy, and Andi, seven sisters, three brothers, and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
