Memorial services for Jeffrey Allen Gilb, age 55, of Bloomington will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 11th 2011 at Our Fathers Lutheran Church. Pastor Jon Rhodes will officiate. Jeffrey Allen Gilb was born on February 5th, 1956 in Marshall, MN to Kenneth & JoAnn Gilb. He grew up in Loretto, MN and graduated from Delano High School. Jeff worked for Tennant for a short time, then for the Rockford School District for 12 years. In 1990 Jeff started working for the Bloomington School District where he worked until he retired in July of 2010. Jeff loved to travel. He took yearly trips to Las Vegas, until he discovered the beauty of Hawaii. He loved Hawaii! Once he started going there, he tried to make it out there every year, and couldn’t wait to share the stories of the things he saw and did while he was out there. He also was very interested in history, always making sure to see all the historical sights while on his trips. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Survivors include his daughter, Tara Moores and her husband Jason of Monticello; grandchildren, Rylee Morgan, Thomas Jeffrey & Madison Mae. Betty Jo (BJ) Buettner (sister) of Monticello and (brother) John (Lynn) Gilb of Rockford. Nieces Jill (Dale) Christopherson of Monticello, Julie (Don) Vasatka of Richfield, and Nephews James & Kenny Gilb of Rockford.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth & JoAnn Gilb.
