Jeanette May Offenhauser was born on December 26, 1920 in Albert Lea, the daughter of Harry and Della (Louden) Wendt. She grew up in Glenville, went to country school, and graduated from Albert Lea High School. On December 18, 1942, Jeanette was married to LeRoy Offenhauser in Glenville. She was a beautician and owned her own shop in her home for over 40 years. Jeanette was a member of Crossroads Church. She enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, bird watching, and was an avid Minnesota Twins and Minnesota Gophers fan. She also volunteered with the Greenwood Cemetery Club. Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her husband LeRoy, her son Dick and his wife Nancy of Mankato; grandchildren Peter and his wife Julia, Steven, and Gretchen, three great-grandchildren; nephew Harry Anderson and his wife Donna of Hayward; niece Marilyn Anderson; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her grandson Mark, her sister Pauline, her daughter-in-law Dianne Offenhauser, her nephew Buddy Anderson, and her mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Memorials are preferred to Crossroads Church of the Greenwood Cemetery Club.
