Jean M. Ostley

Jean Marie Ostley was born October 31, 1919, to Henry and Minna Nehring Ehrich in Blue Earth County. She attended schools in Albert Lea, graduating from Albert Lea High School in 1936. On February 13, 1938, Jean was united in marriage to Raymond Karl Ostley at her parents' home in Albert Lea. She owned the Hayward Cafe and had also been employed as a Special Diets Aide at Naeve Hospital. Jean was a member of First Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, and crocheting. Survivors include her children: Joan and her husband Kenneth Lang of Savanna, IL, Karen and her husband Eldon Nelson of Fergus Falls, Michael and his wife Mary Ostley of Austin, and Mark and his wife Julie Ostley of Anoka; 14 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Marilyn Edwardson of Palo Alto, CA; and many nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; and brother, Virgil Ehrich.
