Irene Marie Erickson

Irene Marie Erickson, age 68, of Albert Lea, died Friday, June 28, 2019 at her home.  Irene was born December 18, 1950 to Erwin and Mattie (Howden) Wachlin. She grew up in Manchester and attended a small school in Freeborn. Irene was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  She loved putting puzzles together and paying cards, especially rummy.  She enjoyed fishing and loved Elvis.

Irene is survived by daughter, Wendy Wachlin and her two sons, Jay Wachlin and Charles Wachlin; daughter, Glenda Erickson and her two daughters, Summer Beightol and Sage Iverson; brother, Denny (Janice) Wachlin and his children, Ronnie and Richie;  sister, Linda Spain and her children, Char (Steve) Skogheim, Bob (Shelia) Spain; sister, Susann Nava and her children, Bill Wachlin, Jamie Wachlin, Alma (Evaristo) Guerra, Simona (Joe) Nava, Judy (Steve) Christensen; brother, Jim (Rhonda) Wachlin and his children Tyler and Alhona; brother Bill (Connie) Wachlin and his children Shawn (Kat), Dwaine (Lorraine), Dean; sister, Ruthann Wachlin.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents, Erwin and Mattie; and brother, Robert Wachlin.

A Celebration of Life for Irene will take place Sunday, July 7, 2019 from 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. at Edgewater Cottage in Albert Lea.  All are welcome. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.
