Hilma Iris Watson was born on April 9, 1917, to Hans and Malena Satre in Alcester, South Dakota. She grew up in South Dakota and came to Minnesota in 1932 where she lived in the Moscow area. She married Everett Watson in 1936. They moved to Albert Lea in 1941. Hilma was a homemaker and worked for the Skyline Supper Club. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. Hilma lived a simple life. Survivors include her son, Melvin of Albert Lea; sisters Gladys Klick and Betty Tompkins, both of Stockton, California; and several nieces and nephews. Hilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; sisters, Bertha Carlson, Sylvia Stoen, and Johanna Gullickson; brothers, Clarence Satre, Irvin Satre, Selmer Satre, and Ingolf Satre.
