Hilda Ernstine Alma Krueger was born March 2, 1920, to John L. and Nettie Behle Fogel in Pickerel Lake Township. She lived in Freeborn County all her life and was a life-long member of Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake, where she was baptized and confirmed. On April 12, 1953, Hilda was united in marriage to Henry Krueger. She was a member of the Altar Guild and the Mary Circle and enjoyed quilting. In 1993, Henry and Hilda were named Volunteers of the Year at St. John's and, in 1994, they were named Freeborn County Senior Citizens of the Year. Survivors include her husband, Henry of Albert Lea; daughters, Susan and her husband, Wayne Erickson of Albert Lea and Delores and her husband, Donald Stenzel of Plymouth; son, John and his wife, Lynn Krueger of Alden; grandchildren: Heather and her husband, Tom Meyer of Kiester, Holly, Katie, and Kent Erickson of Albert Lea, Caitlin and Melissa Estlow of Plymouth, and Mark and Ross Krueger of Alden; great-granddaughter, Hannah Meyer of Kiester; sister, Erma and her husband, Arnold Levisen of Albert Lea; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Hilda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lillian and husband, Willard Reichl; and brother, Aaron Fogel.
