Henrietta Faltus Brabec was born in Mason City, Iowa to Mary Kasik and John Faltus on May 30, 1917. She attended schools in Mason City, graduating in 1935. Henrietta married Milo Brabec on April 2, 1937. They farmed for 42 years and had 3 children. Henrietta enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and letter writing. She kept a diary for over 50 years. The couple spent many winters in California and Florida and traveled extensively in Europe. Henrietta loved the farm she lived on for 42 years where she planted hundreds of trees, and then she moved to Albert Lea. She was a member of Peer counseling and assisted many people. Henrietta was a member of the Home Extension for over 50 years and attended Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle, MN and Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Albert Lea Survivors include her children, Larry Peg Brabec of Drayden, Maryland, Russell Rose Marie Brabec of Tallahassee, Florida, and Kathryn Jordahl of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Lisa Jim Sydnor of Drayden, Maryland, Felica Thomas Schuman, Tallahassee, Florida, Seth Shanda Brabec of Virginia, and Erica Jordahl of Fairmont, MN; 3 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Aiden and Colton Brabec of Virginia; sister-in-law, Evelyn Faltus of Lake Mills, Iowa; special friends Dick and Faye Madson; and several nieces and nephews. Henrietta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Milo, her sister Rose Denzel and her brother Frank Faltus.
