Helen Jeanette Dockwell

November 22, 1920 — September 29, 2014

Helen Jeanette Dockwelll was born on November 22, 1920, the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Benesh) Belshan. She grew up on the family farm near Myrtle. She attended District 100 and Albert Lea High School. On September 16, 1944 Helen was married to Harry H. Dockwell in Albert Lea. She was a member of the Hayward Lutheran Church, the Naomi Circle, and a long-time member of the ZCBJ Lodge #44. Helen enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, baking her special chocolate chip and sugar cooking for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping with family members. Helen was a volunteer cook at the Hayward Elementary School. She liked gardening, flowers, and canning fruits and vegetables.
Survivors include her children Cheryl (Larry) Beavens, Harry (Debbie) Dockwell, Paulette Jerome, and Jane (Cal) Paulson; grandchildren Shelly Wangen (Joshua Touchton), Katie (Kevin) Cleary, Tracie (Barry) Binder, Ryan (Amanda) Beavens, Joshua (Jeanna) Jerome, Bradley Paulson (fiancé Jessica Roche), and Benjamin Paulson (Rene Haley); great-grandchildren Ashton Wangen and Adison Wangen (Matt Stapleton),Keygan Lundak, Shauntel, Alexis, MicKenzy, and DJ Jerome, and Parker, Jaxson, and Chloe Beavens; brothers Fred (Gladys) Belshan and Alva Belshan; sister-in-law Marvel Dockwell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry, and her siblings and in-laws Louis (Alice) Belshan, Eddie (Helen) Belshan, Anton (Doris) Belshan, Milo (Betty) Belshan, Josephine (Anton) Cech, Emily (Richard) Cech, Lillian Belshan, Elmer (Ann) Dockwell, and Vernon Dockwell.
Helen enjoyed spending treasured time with her family. She was a special mother and grandmother, and will be missed and loved forever.
