Harry Jack Chance was born May 12, 1926, to Cyrus V. and Genevieve Bradley Chance in Iowa City, Iowa. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from 1943 - 1946. On June 10, 1950, Harry was united in marriage to Betty Ann Ristow in Stoddard, Wisconsin. The couple moved to Albert Lea in 1954. Harry was employed as a Lineman for the Dairyland Power Company until his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, golf, and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Betty of Albert Lea; children: Sheila Chance of South Carolina, Karen and her husband, Lanny Saumer of Wisconsin, David and his wife, Cindy Chance of Arizona, and Darrel and his wife, Leslie Chance of California; grandchildren: Brandon, Darren, Wade, Shane, Wesley, Travis, Clint, Sarah, Corey, Jackie, Eli, & Nicole; great-grandchildren: Christian, Zane, Jonathon, Brooklyn, & Holly; and 2 brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law. Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Cyrus and Genevieve Chance and granddaughter, Stacia Saumer in infancy.
