Harold Clayton Kuchera

February 14, 1941 — December 7, 2014

Memorial services for Harold Clayton Kuchera, age 73, of Hayward, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Hayward Lutheran Church.  Rev. Joel Erickson will officiate.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  

Harold died Sunday, December 7, 2014 at his home.  
Harold Clayton Kuchera was born February 14, 1941 to Charles Kuchera and Eleanora Knudtson.  Harold grew up in Glenville and graduated from Glenville High School in 1959.  After graduation he enlisted in the United States Navy.  In 1964, Harold was honorably discharged.  When he returned he worked at Streaters for several years before working at Wilsons until his retirement.  Harold also drove school bus for many years.  In August of 1966, Harold was united in marriage to Deanne Will in Ellendale.  He was a member of Hayward Lutheran Church, the Albert Lea Gun Club, the Eagles and the American Legion.  Harold enjoyed reading westerns, participating in threshing shows every summer and more recently working at the Albert Lea Farmer’s Market.  

Survivors include his children Alisa (Nathan) Niesen of Lakeville and Allan (Sara) Kuchera of Farmington; grandchildren Emma and Jack Niesen and Samuel, Benjamin, and Matthew Kuchera; sister Charlotte (LeRoy); brother Arthur (Susan); brother-in-law Larry (Carolyn); step-sister-in-law Danielle; former sister-in-law Bev; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Harold was preceded in death by his parents Charles (Eva) Kuchera; wife Deanne; step-brothers Gary and Larry; step-sisters Judy and Nancy; and brother-in-law Dwaine.
