Gregory Gullick Johnson was born in Albert Lea on December 28, 1956, the son of Donald and Ardis (Behrends) Johnson. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1974. He then went to the Albert Lea VoTech and earned a certificate in diesel mechanics and welding. Following school Greg worked at the Speltz Elevator in Myrtle, and then became a truck driver. He worked for Barry Jacobson Trucking, and later various other companies in the trucking business. Greg enjoyed gardening, model cars and planes, woodworking, and was an avid Twins and Vikings fan.
Survivors include his mother Ardis of Albert Lea; sisters Pamela (Wes) Kramer of Albert Lea, Rebecca (Willy) Williams of Albert Lea, Debra Johnson of Duluth, and Renae Walderon LeDoux of Owatonna; nieces Brooke (Jeremy) Larsen, Heather Hagen, Janell Hagen; nephew Wesley (Bridget) Kramer; five great-nieces; and his long-time friend Lester Giles of St. Peter.
Greg was preceded in death by his father, his grandparents, his brother-in-law John LeDoux, and his aunt Lolene. He will be sadly missed by his family.
