Gorden Kenneth Hagen was born July 27, 1929, to Paul and Gena Solland Hagen in Nunda Township. He was raised in Freeborn County and attended country school. Gorden worked at the Emmons Elevator before serving in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1951 - 1953. He married Lorraine Bock in 1957 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Gorden worked for Diekema Construction before starting his own concrete business, B & H Concrete, with his brothers, Norris and Roy. He enjoyed casinos, driving around the country looking at crops because of his interest in farming, and traveling. Gorden was a member of the Eagles and the VFW. Survivors include his sons: Lane of Las Vegas, Lynden of Albert Lea, Lance and his wife, Crystal of Twin Lakes, and Loren of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Gorden, Royce, Taylor, Sonya, Jared, Garnys, and Nichol; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Norris Hagen of Albert Lea; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and special friend, Alice Arnold. Gorden was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lorraine; brother, Roy; and sister, Pearl McColloch.
