Gerald "Jerry" DeBoer

A Celebration of Life for Gerald “Jerry” DeBoer, age 76, of Hollandale, will be held from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Albert Lea American Legion. Online condolences are welcome at www.bayviewfuneral.com.

Gerald Leroy DeBoer died on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Good Samaritan Society in Albert Lea.

Jerry was born on April 15, 1943 in Albert Lea, to Harold and Lena DeBoer (Terpstra). He grew up in Hollandale and attended school in Maple Island and Albert Lea. On June 3, 1965, he married Linda Harmdierks and together they had three sons. Jerry enjoyed welding toys, music, crossword puzzles, Yahtzee, fishing, softball, and visiting with friends.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Todd (Kristie), Troy, and Brad; grandchildren, Vanessa, Derek, and Alyssa; sister, Barb (Dale) Jensen; sisters-in-law, Joy Amys, Dar Anderson, and Julie Bellinger; brothers-in-law, Virgil (Pat) Harmdierks, Gary Harmdierks, and Larry (Penny) Harmdierks; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Zachary; and brother, Bob.
