George A. Lang, Jr. was born on January 8, 1919 to George, Sr. and Effie Moran Lang in Stacyville, IA. On October 28, 1937 George was united in marriage to Eldreth Westrum in Northwood, IA. The couple made their home in Glenville and then Albert Lea where George was employed for Wilson & Co. as a butcher. He was a member of the Glenville United Methodist Church, the VFW and American Legion. George enjoyed visiting with people and sharing old stories. He especially treasured the time spent with his family. Survivors include his son, Neil and his wife Barbara Lang of Albert Lea; daughter, Sharon Nelson of Albert Lea and special friend Richard Helland of Glenville; grandchildren, Randy Delger and Elissa Vick of Albert Lea, Roxanne Steve Poliak of River Falls, WI, Stephanie Randy Erdman of Albert Lea and Stacia Lang of LA, CA; great-grandchildren, Heather Tom Sadaukis of Rochester, MN, Travis Delger of Albert Lea, Afton Phil Wacholz of Albert Lea, Beau Sara Edwards of Rosemount, Joshua Megan Edwards of Farmington, Miles Erdman of Albert Lea; John and Mike Poliak of River Falls, WI; great-great-grandchildren, Zane and Zoe Sadaukis of Rochester, Neveah and Brecken Wacholz of Albert Lea and Ezra Edwards of Farmington; sisters-in-law, Colleen Ingvaldson and Vilma Johnson; many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Eldreth; Brothers, William and Theodore Lang; half-sister Maxine Lang and step-sister, Pauline McKane; step-brother, Harland McKane. Granddaughter-in-law, Nancy Delger and several brothers-in-law.
