Funeral services for Evelyn Sipple, age 89, formerly of Albert Lea will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at the Church of St. Theodore. Rev. Timothy T. Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be at St. Theodoreâs Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 30th at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Evelyn died Wednesday, March 28, 2012 of natural causes at Oak Terrace Care Center..
Evelyn Sipple was born on December 12, 1922 to Henry and Lena Onstad in Canada.
She moved with her family to the Austin area in her early teens. Evelyn was united in marriage to John Sipple on November 25, 1943 at the Church of St. Theodore. The couple farmed while living northwest of Albert Lea, and owned Norge Village Laundromat and Drycleaners. They later purchased Bisgaards Shoe Store prior to retiring. Evelyn also sold real estate for Berg Realty and worked as a home health aide and CNA at Good Samaritan Center. Evelyn was a member of Church of St. Theodore. She and John loved old time music and dancing. They were also on senior bowling leagues. Evelyn treasured the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Jane Hebert and husband Don of Albert Lea, Ron Sipple and his wife Kathy of Albert Lea, Marie Nagorske and her husband Bruce of Windom, MN, and Randy Sipple and his wife Machelle of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren, John (Katie) Hebert, Steven Hebert, Dan (Theresa) Hebert, Heidi (Neil) Smith, Jerry Sipple, Julie (Matthew) Davis, Lynn (Stoney) Schreiber, Lori (Travis) Abrego, Jay Sipple, Michael Nagorske, Timothy Nagorske, Curtis Nagorske, Mikala Sipple, Alexis Sipple, Jessica Sipple and Zachary Sipple; great-grandchildren, Kati, Krista, Kelsey, Garret, Alison, Christopher, Alex, Ethan, Micha, Jonas, Ezra, Grace, Zoe, Kadin, Kyler, and Taylor.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; 6 siblings; and husband, John in 2001.
She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Evelyn always had a vibrant personality, a precious smile and a âheart of goldâ. She was always willing to help, love, and care for others. She was the âbest mom and grandma in the world.â
