Funeral services for Eunice R. Anderson, age 88 of Albert Lea will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matt Griggs will officiate. Interment will be in Central Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Eunice died on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at St. Johnâs Lutheran Community.
Eunice Ruth Anderson was born in Albert Lea on March 26, 1927, the daughter of Herman and Grace (Schoenrock) Heideman. Eunice was baptized and confirmed at the Pickerel Lake Lutheran Church. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1945. On September 21, 1947 Eunice was married to Clair B. Anderson at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Myrtle. In 1958 Eunice and Clair moved north of Albert Lea and joined Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. She was active in the WELCA there. Eunice was a dairy farmer along with her husband and worked in the metal shop at Streaterâs for 23 years. Euniceâs family was very important to her and she loved spending time with her children grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She very much enjoyed going out for lunch at the Trumbles. Survivors include her children Mark (Joan) Anderson, Philip (Linda) Anderson, Andrea White, and Allaire (Craig Grund) Anderson; grandchildren Coleman Anderson, Chandler Anderson, Matthew (Natalie) Anderson, James (Melissa) Anderson, David (Tracie) Anderson, John (Tamara) Anderson, Lucas Anderson, Julia White, David (Jessica) White, and Daniel White; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Mia, Rayna, Gianna, Grady, Kyle, and Kelsey; and several sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clair, sisters Helen Amundson and Lois Wolff, and brother Harlan Heideman.
