Eugene Joe Waltz

Graveside services for Eugene Joe Waltz, age 60, of Twin Lakes will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2011 at Graceland Cemetery.

Eugene died Tuesday, April 19, 2011 at his home.

Eugene Joe Waltz was born on August 29, 1950 to Gerald and Helen (DeRaad) Waltz in Albert Lea.  He grew up on the north end of Pickerel Lake and attended Albert Lea Schools.  Eugene worked in the plumbing business with his father and grandfather.  On April 16, 1969 he was married to Linda Caswell at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea.  Eugene went to work for Imperial Chemical in 1981 and worked seasonally for Speltz Elevator.  He became disabled and retired in 2005.  Eugene enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his grandchildren. 

Survivors include his wife Linda; son Joe (Amy) Waltz; granddaughters Candi and Alyssa; grandson Junior; brother Randy (Carol) Waltz; two aunts and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Eugene was preceded in death by his son D.J.; parents and grandparents; and sister Candy Waltz.
