Elsie Mae Egge

April 9, 1931 — August 28, 2014

Funeral services for Elsie Mae Egge will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home.  Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate.  Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 2, 2014 and one hour prior to the service at Bayview.
Elsie died Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Good Samaritan Society.
Elsie Mae Egge was born April 9, 1931, the daughter of Ray and Martha (Jensen) Heskett in Austin, MN.  She attended country school in Freeborn County.  After school, Elsie worked at Ma’s Café and Phil’s Café.  On March 3, 1956 Elsie was united in marriage to Harold Egge at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.  Once Elsie was married she worked as a homemaker.  She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her family and being outdoors where she enjoyed watching animals.  Elsie was a member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church where she was active in bible school.  Blessed be her memory.
Survivors include her children, Lowell, Dwaine (Beth) and Ron (Dawn); grandchildren, Brianna (Cody) Smith, Lauren, Lyndsey and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Lane and Jameson Smith; siblings, Elaine Manges, Eldora Johnson, Frank Heskett and Evelyn Nielsen; sister-in-law, Doris Heskett and many nieces and nephews.
Elsie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harold; an infant daughter; siblings, Marvin (Mabel) Heskett, Ellen (Dale) Johnson and Cecil Heskett; brothers-in-law, Norman Johnson and Henry Manges, sisters-in-law Mary Lou Heskett and Darlene Heskett.  Nephews Mike Heskett and Raymond Manges.
