Ellsworth Palmer Gulbrandson was born August 12, 1916 to Carl and JuliaJohnson Gulbrandson in Hartland. He attended Hartland Rural School and was baptized and confirmed at the Hartland Synod Church. Ellsworth was a self employed farmer in the Hartland area. On January 27, 1962 he was united in marriage to Cordelia Christianson. She died in 1984. On August 16, 1986 Ellsworth was united in marriage to Dorothy Demmer at Cross of Glory Church in Hartland. He was a member of Cross of Glory Church, Farmer's Union, Son's of Norway, and Hartland Seniors Citizens. Ellsworth was called Grandpa Worth by his great grand children. He enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, both by car and by group bus trips, playing games and Norwegian jokes. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Gulbrandson of Albert Lea; nieces, LoisEugene Berg of Red Wing and KarenDennis Johnson of Minneapolis; step-children, Eileen Bianchi of Carson City, NV, Paul Christianson of California, RebeccaLarry Stevens of Bingham Lake, MN; step-grandchildren, BrentKathi, Maria, Brett, BeckyJason, and Neil; step-great-grandchildren, Dylan, Chloe, AJ, Summer and Wyatt; brother-in-law, Howard Recknor; and special cousin Cordelia Olson. Ellsworth was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Cordelia; sister, Gladys Erickson; brother-in-law, Peter Erickson; sister-in-law, Betty Recknor; step-son-in-law, Monte Bianchi and step-grand-daughter, Melissa Bauer.
