Elizabeth Ann Nelson

Elizabeth Ann Nelson was born on November 29, 1924 to William and Anna Thompson Grothe in Craig, Nebraska. Elizabeth grew up and attended school in Nebraska. She received her teaching degree at Midland College and taught 3rd and 4th grade in the Fremont Public Schools in Fremont, Nebraska for 38 years. Elizabeth married Duane Lundstrom on December 22, 1945 in Marysville, Kansas. Duane died on April 22, 1984 in Lincoln, NE. On June 12, 1987 Elizabeth was united in marriage in Fremont, NE to Dr. Clayton Nelson of Albert Lea. For the past 22 years the couple has resided in Albert Lea. Elizabeth was a volunteer in elementary classrooms and at ALMC Hospital Auxiliary. She attended Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea and Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont, NE. Survivors include her husband, Clayton; daughter, Kristy Lundstrom Dunlap of Centreville, VA; grandson, Christopher Thomas Dunlap of Centreville, VA; and brother, Willard Grothe of Craig, NE. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband, Duane Lundstrom; and one brother.
