Elisabeth Dickson

Elisabeth “Betty” Dickson of Alden passed away on August 10, 2016 at the Parkview Care Center in Wells, MN.  Betty was born on August 20, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of William E. and Frances E. Quigley Morningred. She graduated from Germantown High School and went on to secretary school. In May of 1955 she married George Dickson in St. Peters Episcopal Church in Germantown, PA. After relocating from Philadelphia to Florida to Indiana, the family settled in the Alden area where George was working for Queen Products in Albert Lea. Betty worked for MSI Insurance for Wayne Pooley for many years before retiring to the Chicago area and then returning home to where they opened Tailfins Malt shop in Alden.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Jean and husband Lynn Greenfield of Alden and Susan and her husband Jerry Wilson of Chino Valley, AZ; sons, George Dickson, Jr. of Appleton, WI and Bill and his wife Connie of Eden Prairie, MN; grandchildren, Travis and his wife Gennifer Greenfield of Alden, Cameron, Michaela, and Colton Dickson of Appleton, WI, Jacquelyn and Blake Dickson of Eden Prairie, Shawn and his wife Madeleine Dickson of Ft. Rutger, Alabama, Colin Dickson of Quincey, IL; great-grandchildren Maxim and Liam Dickson of Ft. Rutger, Alabama and Lucas Greenfield of Alden and one on the way; step-great-grandchildren Aidan Greenfield and Noah Burgett; nieces, Debby and Lowell Gabriel of Alden and Carol and her husband Joe Manz of NJ, and nephew Joe Hayes of NJ. She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, siblings and granddaughter Mackenzie Dickson of WI. A family service will be held at a later date.
