Eleanora M. Flusek

February 27, 1913 — September 9, 2004

Eleanora M. Flusek was born February 27, 1913, to Ludwig and Marie Sucka Kycek in Hayward Township. She was raised in Freeborn County, attended District #60 School, and worked on the family farm. On June 29, 1935, Eleanora was united in marriage to Edward A. Flusek in Northwood, Iowa. The couple farmed until 1978 when they moved to Hayward. Eleanora was an excellent baker and cook. She also enjoyed all types of handiwork. Eleanora sang in the Lodge Quartet and volunteered for anything that needed to be done at the Lodge. She had been the secretary/treasurer for the Bohemian National Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Eugene and his wife Elaine Flusek of rural Glenville; daughter, Ramona and her husband Jack Yunger of St. Cloud; grandchildren: Ellen and her husband Charles Phillips of Faribault, Anne and her husband Jeff Jerdee of Hayward, Dawn and her husband Terry Yilek of St. Cloud, Cindy and her husband Bob Fahey of St. Cloud, and John Yunger, also of St. Cloud; great-grandchildren: Nathan and Emily Phillips of Faribault, Samantha and Dylan Jerdee of Hayward, and Caitlin, Tayler, Gabrielle, and Chloe Yilek, all of St. Cloud; and several nieces and nephews. Eleanora was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward; brothers, Louis and Edward Kycek; and sister, Anna Sistek.
