Eleanor Verdoorn

Eleanor was born on July 15, 1937 to Eldow and Fern Woollard Meyer in Kiester, MN. She graduated from Kiester School. Eleanor married Arie "Gene" Verdoorn on February 18, 1962. Eleanor was a homemaker and owned a restaurant with her husband for a number of years called The Dice Box in Truman, MN. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. Eleanor enjoyed time spent with her family, also fishing and cross stitch. Survivors include her children Jeff Ann Verdoorn, Mike LuAnn Verdoorn, Greg Tyra Verdoorn, Troy Kelly Verdoorn and Stacey Dave Bahr; 3 step children, Gary Verdoorn, Rani Verdoorn, and Lynn Doser; brother, Edwin Bernadine Meyer; sister, Elizabeth Bruce Klocek, 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents Eldow and Fern; husband, Arie "Gene"; and brother, Edward "Bud".
