Funeral services for Edson M. Lebeck will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 21, 2015 at the Hartland Evangelical Lutheran Church. The Rev. Shawn Stafford will officiate. Interment will be in the West Freeborn Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday.
Edson died on Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home in Manchester.
Edson Myrton Lebeck was born on September 21, 1935 in Albert Lea, the son of Edwin and Myrtle (Lovberg) Lebeck. He grew up on his familyâs farm near Manchester. He attended Manchester Country School and graduated from Albert Lea High School. Edson took over the family farm following his fatherâs illness. On June 17, 1956 he was married to Betty Krueger at the Concordia Lutheran Church of Pickerel Lake. Together they had four children. Edson was a member of the Manchester Evangelical Lutheran Church. He enjoyed going to auctions, dancing, and farming with his son Alan.
Survivors include his children Brenda (David) Dickman, Julie Prust (Burt), Alan (Kim) Lebeck, and Lori Lebeck Londo; grandchildren Rachel Dickman and fiance Sean Selmecki, Megan Dickman, Nathan Prust, Laura Prust, Kayla (Joe) Neubauer, Stacia Lebeck, Marisa Londo and Alec Lebeck; great-grandchildren Madison, Ryder, Emilie, and Lucy; and former wife Betty Patterson.
Edson was preceded in death by his parents.
