Edna B. Huber

Edna B. Huber was born February 17, 1904, to Martin E. and Jessie M. Fry Stoner in Johnson County, IA. After completing her education, Edna taught country school in the 1920s. On June 1, 1929, she was united in marriage to Benjamin C. Huber in Albert Lea. Edna was a longtime resident of Freeborn County, where she farmed with her husband. Edna was a member of the Geneva United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Order of the Eastern Star, Senior Citizens, and Farm Bureau. She had been a 4-H leader and a Sunday school teacher, belonged to Home Extension Groups, and liked to play scrabble. Survivors include her children: Lois van Dyck of Eagan, Mabel Huber of Minneapolis, Darrell and his wife, Janet Huber of Perham, Alice Probert of Kirkland, WA, and Edna and her husband, William Henschel of Edina; grandchildren: Heidi Anfinson, Karin van Dyck, John van Dyck, Brenda van Dyck, Mark Huber, Dana Huber, Julie Greenberg, Allison Elbahouty, Mike Probert, Peter Henschel, Ben Henschel, Susan Henschel, and Kurt Henschel; and 25 great-grandchildren. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Jessie Stoner; her husband Benjamin; sisters, Irma Lemke and Helen Stoner; and brother, Sam Stoner.
