Dorothy Mary Lair

September 25, 1915 — November 26, 2014

On Wednesday, November 26, 2014, Dorothy Mary (Sullivan) Lair, age 99, left this world peacefully, while surrounded by songs, prayers, and the love of her family.
As a woman of strong faith, her greatest joys in life were her beloved husband Francis, her four children, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. She blessed them all with her love, her prayer-filled life, her compassion and empathy for others, and a love of music. These gifts will live on as her legacy.
Throughout her life Dorothy was known for her kindness, her sweet disposition, and deep concern for her family and friends. Her family takes heart in knowing that Dorothy has joined her Savior and loved ones in heaven.
Survivors include her husband of 65 ½ years, Francis Lair; her children Kathy (Bob) Zakoski of Carlsbad, CA, Mary Beth (Greg) Senske of Burnsville, MN, Jeanne Freer of DeForest, WI, and Patrick (Mary) Lair of Bloomington, MN; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Bud (Ann) Sullivan  of Cleveland, OH and Paul (Dottie) Sullivan of Seattle, WA; sisters-in-law  Marianne Sullivan of Sarasota, FL and Harriet Sullivan of Lanesboro, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents James and Ella Sullivan, her sister Rosie Ellis, and brothers Norbert, Joe, and John Sullivan who all now dance and sing with her in heaven.
