Funeral services for Doris E. Johnson, age 91 of Albert Lea, will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home Chapel.The Rev. Kent Otterman will officiate. Burial will be at the Fairview Cemetery, Hayfield, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services..
Doris died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Community.
Doris Elaine Johnson was born on June 30, 1923 in Seibert, Colorado the daughter of Hans and Emma (Kargas) Lange. She attended school in Flager, CO. On August 31, 1944 she was united in marriage to Philip Johnson in Sargarent, MN. Doris was employed as a CNA at the Field Crest Nursing Home in Hayfield, MN., for 17 years. She enjoyed cooking, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Doris is survived by her children; Cheryl Gabel, Albert Lea, Denise Johnson, Albert Lea and Scott Johnson, Hayfield. Grandchildren; Troy and Robert Gabel, Ranielle Johnson and Dareen Gabel. Great-grandchildren; Crystal and Nicole and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband. Son Randy Johnson, sisters; Inez Hegna and Mary Ann Klossner, brother Viron Lange. OH YA (Doris’ favorite saying)
