Doris Elaine Christensen

Doris Elaine Christensen was born on March 21, 1921 in rural Hartland the daughter of Stephen and Torina (Stensrud) Pederson.  She attended rural school and graduated from New Richland High School in 1939.  Doris was united in marriage to Howard Christensen on Oct. 11, 1944 at the Hartland Lutheran Church.  She was a homemaker and secretary for Production Credit Association.  Doris enjoyed shopping, sewing, traveling and being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s activities.  She was a member of Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, the Bible study group and Ladies Aide.  Doris also was a member of the Legion Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, T.O.P.S. member, NARFE, and the Doris Club.
Survivors include her daughters Linda (Jerry) Phillips, Bemidji, MN, Cheryl (Mike) Norton, Canby, MN, and Jodi (Brian) Wayne, Ellendale, MN; grandchildren Jared (Heidi) Phillips, Jay (Lindsay) Phillips, Justin Phillips, Brandon (Jodi) Wayne, Missie (Sean) Engel, Kyle (Linda) Norton, Kari (Dan) Budach and Katie (Michael) Hunt and 9 great-grandchildren.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Howard and many aunts and uncles.
