Memorial services for Donna Rosenberg, age 77, of Albert Lea will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016 at Ascension Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Boorsma will officiate. Donna passed away January 29, 2016 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester surrounded by family.
Donna Rosenberg was born on June 7, 1938 in Ceylon, Minnesota, the daughter of Charles and Geneva (Gangestad) Prull. She later moved to East Chain, Minnesota, where she graduated high school. She was united in marriage to Ronald Rosenberg on December 27, 1957. In 1957, she attended DeLyes Academy of Beauty Culture in Fairmont, Minnesota where they resided until they moved to Albert Lea in 1967. Donna later started a day care business and continued until 1992 when she became ill and needed a heart transplant. She later received a kidney transplant in 2002. Donna loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and also spending time having coffee with their group of friends at Hy-Vee. She was a very loving and caring mother and wife who will be missed very much.
Survivors included husband Ronald Rosenberg, son Gerald (Carrie), daughters Derrice (Mike) Erickson and Deanna (Michael) Hutchins all of Albert Lea, brother and sister-in-law Darwin and Judith Rosenberg of Lakewood, CO, sister-in-law Ramona Rosenberg of Fairmont, sister Beverly Kinnander of Armstrong, IA, and sister Diane (Steve) Lawrence of Tacoma, WA., grandchildren Blake, Skye, and Logan Yotter, Samantha, Elizabeth, and Grace Hutchins, Hanna Silva, and John Laganiere, great-grandson Thomas Tonkin, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Geneva and Charles Prull, sister and brother-in-law Betty and Eugene Connett, brother Durwood Prull, brother-in-law Tom Kinnander, mother and father-in-law Levon and Chester Rosenberg, and brother-in-law Gary Rosenberg.
