Donna Bertha Gregerson

November 15, 1916 — November 18, 2010

Donna Bertha (Klemmer) Gregerson was born on November 15, 1916 in Owatonna, MN; twin sister of Donald J. Klemmer, parents R. W. Klemmer and Mary Margaret Beede. Baptized, confirmed and married at St. John Lutheran church, Owatonna. Donna was a member for 42 years where she taught Sunday school. Graduated from Owatonna High School in 1934. Completed Normal Teacher's training and also attended Mankato State University. She taught rural schools in Steele and Freeborn counties and school district #241 for a total of twenty years. After joining First Lutheran, Albert Lea, she became active in many phases of the church; secretary of the nominating committee, Evangelism commissions, "Search Bible Studies", Chairman of Circle #21, member of the FLCW, "Stewardship Caring and Sharing", Co-Chairman of "Loaves and Fishes". She was a volunteer of the community charity drive "Meals on the Go", Civic Music, Secretary of the P.T.A. and delegate to the state conventions. Donna was a member of the Retired Rural Teachers of Steele County, Officer of the Retired Educators of Freeborn County, member of Seream, the Historical Society and the Art Center. She enjoyed reading, golfing, gardening, sewing, and Bridge Club. She especially enjoyed traveling. Her special priorities were her two granddaughters.

Survivors include her son Jonathan and his wife Kathie, granddaughters Andrea Lynn Taylor and Heather Anne Sanchez; great-grandchildren Isabella and Aiden Sanchez plus many nieces and nephews.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; son Gary; twin brother Donald; sisters Guelma and Evelyn; brothers Richard and Sidney.
