Donald "Bud" Brandt

Donald Arnold Brandt was born on December 6, 1932 to Arnold and Edna (Leschefske) Brandt in Albert Lea.  In the early 1950’s Donald served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  In 1954 he was united in marriage to Marilyn Hopperstad at Grace Lutheran Church.  He worked for Nolan’s and Queens before going to work for Ryan’s Auto Salvage.  Bud worked there for over 40 years, retiring about 10 years ago.  He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of the American Legion.  Bud enjoyed going to rodeos, watching bull riding, collecting things and traveling with Marilyn all over the world.  
Survivors include his children Cindy (Hiep) Nguyen and Donald (Rhonda) Brandt; grandchildren Alan, Donald, Amy, Adam, Sarah, Ashley and Wesley; great-grandchildren Christian, Liam, Aleah and Hayden; sisters Mavis, Colleen and Kathy, brother Babe and many nieces and nephews.
Bud was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn and children Vicky, David and Judy.
