Dolores (Dolly) Feeley, 92, of Albert Lea passed away on March 11, 2022, at Thorne Crest Retirement Center.
Funeral services for Dolly will be held on Friday March 18, 2022, at 12 noon at Bayview Freeborn Funeral Home. Pastor Kent Otterman will preside. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at Bayview. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Dolores “Dolly” (Schaeffer) Feeley was born on September 14, 1930, to Earl and Clara (Mjolsness) Schaeffer near Nielsville, MN. On June 21, 1952, Dolly was united in marriage to James (Jim) Feeley at St. Theodore’s Catholic Church in Albert Lea.
Dolly worked for several years at Boyd and Jack’s Grocery, in Albert Lea as a cashier and as a waitress at the diner in Clarks Grove. Dolly enjoyed traveling and camping, crossword puzzles, writing poetry, and her and Jim’s neighborhood card parties. She enjoyed going for walks, bird watching, and league bowling. She had a great faith in Christ and was a member of Grace Lutheran church. Dolly was a fantastic cook and baker and enjoyed hosting get-togethers and holidays at her home, for her family and friends.
Dolly is survived by her son, Jay (Laura) Feeley; granddaughter, Jamie Feeley; step-grandchildren Nikki Bartel and Dylan Bartel; sister, Joyce Embree; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; sons, Michael and John Feeley; siblings, Lois, Allen and Lorraine.
