Dennis Dean Anderson

Dennis Dean Anderson was born on April 16, 1945 in Albert Lea, the son of Johnny Bergland and Maxine Anderson.  He grew up and went to school in Albert Lea.  On November 18, 1967, he was united in marriage to Joan Helgerson in Mason City, Iowa. Dennis worked as a supervisor at Universal Co-Op Tire Warehouse.  He enjoyed travelling in his motor home, going gambling, and, most of all, spending time with his children and grandchildren. Blessed be his memory.
Survivors include his wife Joan, his children Cammi Anderson and special friend Steve Allison of Northwood, IA, and Jamey (Sara) Anderson of Albert Lea; grandchildren Season Anderson and special friend Poncho Lira of Thompson, IA, Lark Anderson of Emmons, and Alexis, J.D. and Jacey Anderson of Albert Lea; great-grandchildren Journey and Justice, both of Buffalo Center; sisters Karen Mazzucca of Colorado, Edith Olson of Illinois, Diane Olson of California; brothers Curtis “Corky” (Bonnie) Anderson of Albert Lea, Billy Anderson of Albert Lea, and Ronnie Anderson of California; father-in-law Arnold Helgerson Sr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Wayne (Carol) Helgerson of Texas, JoAnn Goskeson of Albert Lea, and Arnold (Robin) Helgerson, Jr. of Albert Lea; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, his loving grandmother Hazel, who raised him, brothers Gary, Virgil, Darrell, and Paul, his sisters Mary Lou, Violet, and Doris; his mother-in-law Ellen Helgerson; his sister-in-law Cindy Larsen; and his brother-in-law Jon Goskeson.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Mayo Clinic Health System Hospice.
