Deborah A. McDaniel

Deborah Alane McDaniel was born May 20, 1951, to Harold and Ruth Thorheim Loken in Albert Lea. She grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1969 and Winona State in 1973. Deborah was an Early Childhood Family Education teacher for the Albert Lea Public Schools. On September 15, 1971, she was united in marriage to Larry McDaniel at Grace Lutheran Church. Deborah was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and the AAUW. She was an avid reader and loved her cats and teaching. Deborah was a volunteer for the Humane Society and had been a Science Fair Judge for many years. Survivors include her husband, Larry of Albert Lea; daughters, Jaymi McDaniel of Marshall and Brooke McDaniel of St. Paul; mother, Ruth Loken of Albert Lea; sister, Becky and her husband, Craig Loehr of Albert Lea; brother, Don Loken and Barb Wyatt of Prescott, WI; nephew, Jordan Loehr; niece, Jillian Loehr; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Glenn and Marion McDaniel. Deborah was preceded in death by her father and niece, Lindsey Loehr Diemer. Memorials should be directed to the American Cancer Society.
