David Jonathon Langlie, age 75 of New Richland, passed away on October 24, 2020 at his home.
David was born on April 29, 1945 in Albert Lea to Lloyd and Ila (Olson) Langlie. He graduated from New Richland High School. After high school David enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. After 2 years of service he was discharged, and he returned to the New Richland area. He married Virginia Eustice on July 1, 1977. David worked at Wilson’s Meat Packing Plant for many years.
David enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, playing cards, going for drives, and loved fireworks. Most of all David enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his incredibly special granddaughter Chloe.
David is survived by his wife of 43 years Virginia; daughter Heather Langlie; granddaughter Chloe Neely; mother-in-law Delores Johnson; sister-in-law Jean Schumacher; brothers-in-law Gary (Kris) Eustice and Todd (Stacey) Eustice; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; siblings and their spouses Steve (Gretchen) Langlie, Bruce (Ruth Ann) Langlie, and Jane (Gene) Bartness; and brother-in-law Richard Schumacher.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
