David Alan Kenis

David Alan Kenis was born on December 9, 1980 in Albert Lea to Gregory and Karen Courrier Kenis. He was born and raised in Albert Lea. David was baptized and confirmed at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. He graduated from Albert Lea High School in 2000. During his school years David delivered Shoppers, worked at Green Lea Golf Course where he enjoyed taking care of the grounds, and at Trumbles Restaurant. David loved bear hugs and had a loving heart. When David had throat surgery as a boy his Grandma "Jimmie" made him pepperoni pizza in a blender. Growing up he treasured the one on one time with Grandma "Jimmie" when she took him to the barbershop for haircuts. After high school David was employed at Interstate Meats and lived at Shady Oaks. He moved to Duluth and was most recently residing in Montgomery. David enjoyed fishing, golfing, cars and sports of all kinds. David's favorite past time was visiting with friends and family on the phone. David enjoyed spending time at his Grandpa and Grandma Courrier and Uncle Randy's farms. He also loved his Grandma Margaret's Norwegian Kringlas, which he enjoyed superbowl weekend. Survivors include his mother, Karen and husband Joe Roberts; step-mother, Lois Lee Kenis; sisters, Amy and Sarah Kenis and Katie Roberts; grandparents, Charles and Lorna "Jimmie" Kenis, Orville and Margaret Courrier; and special grandpa, Milt Roberts; aunts and uncles, Michael Peggy Kenis, Vicki Steve Westrum, Jenifer Bob Prince, special aunt, Becky Martin Norwood, and Randy Courrier; "The Cousins" Joe Mary Beth Kenis, Paul Kristi Kenis, Brian Chrissy Kenis, Rachael Kenis, Brad Carrie Westrum, Mark Kelly Westrum, Brett Megan Westrum, Jillyse Prince Matt Wangerin, Samuel Prince, Jacob Courrier, Joshua Courrier, and Jesse Courrier. David was preceded in death by his father, Greg Kenis.
