Darlene Marie Griffith

Darlene Marie Griffith was born on July 17, 1927 to Vertus and Emma Dretsch Hass in Harris, IA. Darlene was united in marriage to Francis Griffith on April 14, 1945 in Davenport, IA. The family moved to the Albert Lea area in 1964 when Darlene's husband was transferred with the Minnesota State Highway Patrol. Darlene had been a member of the Church of Christ for 43 years. She enjoyed baking, traveling, dancing and spending time at the lake. Darlene loved the time she spent with her many friends and family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include children, Terry Elaine Griffith of Lusk, WY, Penny Bob Donner of Rochester, MN, Wayne Grace Griffith of Albert Lea, Debra Paul Leif of Austin, MN, Oren Griffith of Glenville and Nicole Griffith of Albert Lea; 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Verna Schwarting of Cherokee Village, AR.; sisters-in-law, Margaret Hass, LeAnna Hass and Ruth Hass. Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, Emma and Vertus; husband, Francis; brothers, Ellery, Ed Hank and Dale.
